Why the OnePlus 15 is praised for battery life, what its specs are, and the trade-offs to know about before buying.

If you are tired of charging your phone before the day is over, the OnePlus 15 deserves a look. Tom’s Guide calls it a flagship with two-day battery life, and its huge battery is the main reason it appears on so many “best phone” lists. Here is what you need to know.
OnePlus 15 at a glance
- Battery: 7,300 mAh in most listings.
- Chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
- Display: 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED with a 165Hz refresh rate.
- Charging: very fast wired charging. Sources quote between 80W and 120W depending on the region and charger, so confirm the figure for the model you buy.
- Price: a US base price of about $899.99 for the 12GB and 256GB version, which is well below the top flagships.
What stands out on the OnePlus 15
Battery life. A 7,300 mAh battery is far larger than the 5,000 mAh in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and reviewers report battery life that comfortably lasts through a heavy day and often into a second one.
Flagship power for less. It uses the same type of top-end Snapdragon chip as other premium Android phones but costs less than many of them.
A smooth screen. The 165Hz display makes scrolling and gaming feel very fluid.
Things to consider before you buy
- Reviewers found the selfie camera soft, and some say the screen could be brighter.
- The camera hardware was downgraded compared with the OnePlus 13, according to one review.
- Regional prices vary, and availability and after-sales support differ by country, so ask about warranty before buying.
Who should buy the OnePlus 15?
It suits people who rely on their phone all day, such as sales teams, drivers, students and business owners who travel, and who care more about battery and speed than about the very best camera.
How it compares
For the best camera ecosystem and software polish, compare it with the iPhone 18 Pro Max or the Pixel 11 Pro XL.
