Why this programme

Real experience in a real tech company

Many young women finish school or college without ever having the chance to use a computer properly or see how a technology business works. This programme is for them.

Kartel Tech is an IT and software company in Mbarara City. We build websites and systems, repair and set up computers, run ICT training, and help businesses with branding, printing and online services. We open our office to young women so they can learn by doing real work alongside our team, under guidance.

No prior IT experience is needed. You only need the willingness to learn.

What you will learn

Computer confidence

Using a computer, typing, files, email and the internet.

Office skills

Microsoft Word, Excel and keeping accurate records.

Customer service

Receiving clients and handling calls, WhatsApp and email professionally.

Computer services

Basic repairs, software installation and setting up devices.

Websites and content

Posting blogs and making basic edits on WordPress websites.

Social media and marketing

Creating posts and supporting online campaigns.

Graphics and printing

Simple designs and promotional materials.

Online services

URSB, TIN and NIRA applications and similar services.

AI tools at work

Using tools such as ChatGPT responsibly and productively.

Intake	Applications are open all year. Each successful applicant is placed when a space is available.
