Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Specs and Who Should Buy It

By Albert Ariho Device Review

A plain-language guide to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: its main specs, what stands out, what to consider and who it suits best.

This is a buying guide compiled from published specifications and reviews. Kartel Tech has not run its own hands-on tests on this phone. Specifications and prices vary by region, storage size and seller, so confirm the details with your seller before you buy.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is Samsung’s top Android phone for 2026 and the one most “best phone” lists put first among Android devices. If you want a big screen, a very high-resolution camera and a phone that doubles as a notepad, it is the model to look at. This guide explains what it offers and who should consider it.

Galaxy S26 Ultra at a glance

  • Display: 6.9-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, built on a 3nm process.
  • Main camera: 200MP, with a 12MP front camera.
  • Battery and charging: 5,000 mAh battery, 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, with reverse wireless charging.
  • Build: IP68 dust and water resistance, about 214 g, with an integrated S Pen.
  • Launch price: a US list price of around $1,299 for the base model, according to retail listings.

What stands out on the Galaxy S26 Ultra

The S Pen. Few phones still include a stylus. If you sign documents, sketch ideas or take handwritten notes, it is a real advantage over other flagships.

Faster wired charging. Earlier Ultra models were criticised for slow charging. At 60W this one charges noticeably faster, although it is still behind some rivals.

A big, bright display. At 6.9 inches it is good for video, reading and working with spreadsheets or design files on the go.

Things to consider before you buy

  • It is large and heavy compared with a standard phone, so check it fits your hand and pocket.
  • The battery is 5,000 mAh, which is smaller than the batteries in some competitors such as the OnePlus 15.
  • Prices differ widely between countries and storage sizes. Compare the price of the exact model you want from a trusted seller.
  • Samsung’s software update commitment was not confirmed in the sources we checked, so ask the seller or check Samsung’s official page.

Who should buy the Galaxy S26 Ultra?

It suits professionals, creators and business owners who want one powerful device for photos, calls, documents and notes, and who are happy to pay flagship money. If you mostly use WhatsApp, social media and calls, a cheaper phone will do the job.
