Adullam Schools

This school website design was created for Adullam Schools, a group that has been teaching in Uganda since 2008. The school needed one place where parents could understand three separate institutions without getting confused. Before the project, each section of the school explained itself differently, so parents had to ask around to find simple answers.

One brand, three schools

Adullam runs a preschool, a model primary school and a vocational skills centre. Therefore the homepage introduces all three at once, then sends each visitor down the path that fits their child. Because the three logos and colours differ, the layout gives each one its own space while keeping a single header, footer and navigation. As a result, parents recognise the group immediately, even when they land on an inner page.

A school website design that answers parents first

Parents ask the same questions every term. What ages do you take? Where are you located? How do I apply? Consequently the content is arranged around those questions instead of around the school internal structure. The language stays plain, so a parent reading on a phone during a break can find what they need in under a minute.

Fast on the phones parents actually use

Most families in Uganda browse on modest phones and metered data. For that reason the site loads quickly, images are compressed, and the menu stays predictable on small screens. In addition, the school shop sits one tap from the homepage, so uniform and requirement purchases never get buried.

Content the school controls
